A few months ago I was confused to find a flour-like white powder on the floor and wall of a bedroom. However, I didn't see anyplace it could have come from, so I just forgot about it.

Today I was old replacing outlet covers and somewhat startled to have dead bugs fall out of the power box when I removed the cover along with more of the white powder. It looked as if they were trying to get into the room but starved... Then I noticed more sticking out under one end of the window trim right next to it, which can't be a good sign.... Are they bees?!

On the other side of the wall is the exterior (which is brick) and a small porch. This is on the second floor. I did notice many bees trying to build nests on some wood trim around the roof line, so I'm really hoping some didn't dig all the way down a wall and almost get into the building!

What can expect next spring? :(
