I do not want growing where I do not want it growing, even though they do produce a lovely blue flower. There was a "Rosa Rugosa" growing in the middle of a Lilac shrub that I considered a "weed" because that was a plant I did not want growing where I did not want it growing.

If this is a plant you do not want growing where you do not want it growing it is a "weed" and you can eliminate it.

They look like a Commelina or other closely related member of family. There are several species of Commelina known to be in SOCAL.
