Where are you located and where did you get the squash plant or seeds? I'm in Casa Grande

That's a LOTTA squash campv. Get that canner going!

We are located in Camp Verde.. we got the seeds from a squash we grew last year. Originally the seeds came from the dollar general. I don't pay more than .25 per package for seeds. We normally do seeds here, they just seem to do better than buying a plant that has been in some hot house.

I don't know if I want to can them Mary, I think maybe just roast-em with brown sugar and butter. If we get too many, maybe I might can. I am kinda getting burned out on the canning thing.

Mary for years we gave most of it away, then we ran into a little problem. The neighbors started expecting it and kept asking when the stuff would be ready, like we were the grocery store. We said why don't you plant some stuff, I am sure you will do great " oh no its to much trouble" or "it takes water" or "I am really not into it". This was not just the garden but the fruit trees as well. So now we depose of it other ways. CHICKEN LITTLE STORY

I can see how that type of interaction would cause me to re-think sharing garden goodies. People! My friend has a lovely peach tree and the peaches are so delicious. I planted a tree this year and got 3 peaches in April!! But I can have all the pink grapefruit I can carry.....and lemons too. And I'm very grateful for that fruit.
