Mine got un-spilt after a couple years and I dumped it. My space is at a premium, and my patience grows thin. The same thing happened to my Stitch in Time and Mango Tango. After a few years, They didn't keep their special marks, so when they had problems I didn't put them in ICU.

Spilt Milk and Mango Tango have both been sent to Skid Row in my garden for losing their varigations. Both are pretty, healthy solid color hostas on their own in a bad part of town.

I must be wanting it then. I used to trade seeds all over the world and grow some challenging plants. After I decided to stick only with non fussy ones...

Although I just seen great Mango Tango in display gardens near. I ordered one.

I've had one sitting in the ground in shade with a bit of dappled sun for years. It's kept it's slight variegation and is mostly neglected, just gets the Osmocote that the whole garden gets in spring and water during dry spells. I'll try to dig out the camera and get a picture.

Yours looks like it has more streaking. Nice plant!

mine is growing slowly with still slight marking, gets a fair bit of afternoon sun. I think milkmaid is a better option if looking for one with those markings. My milkmaid grows fantastic.

Mine gets about two hours of morning sun and has been doing fine for over 10 years.

Mine (which I got from a trade on GW ages ago) is in almost complete shade, and is a gorgeous blue with a bright white stripe, and a nice group of clumps. I'd say little to no sun for this one.

I have spilled milk from a random nursery, milkmaid from naylor, and spoiled milk from Denmark. Of the 3 milkmaid seems to grow the best with lots of new eyes each year and loads of vigor. the other two are much slower.

Finally got that photo. I might have to try Milkmaid. Split Milk didn't have much streaking when I got it. It's kept what marking it had, but isn't very exciting. I thought it was in all shade, but it gets dappled light. Those landscape blocks in the back are about 11 inches long if you want a scale.

Sorry about the dirt. SM is planted by a gravel road.
