It really doesn't look like you are in need of privacy or do you ? White California blinds would look nice ,then later on you could add panels to the sides, live with that for a bit then when you think of a color, a cheerful print would be what I suggest , we need to know what your style is first to go about that .

I love the privacy I have now on this new build but sadly, they’ve started breaking ground and I will have a bunch of construction all around me. I’d love to hang curtains but I’m having an issue with finding rods that will work with that awkward box between the windows.

If there is a lot of construction going on hen you better wait o getting new curtains ,the dust will be plenty and it will collect on whatever you do hang up , get some adhesive film for now it can be removed easily after the working outside is done . For the rods, they can be cut to size if you get them , have them all at the same level , you can have panels run from top to bottom where that corner is . if I find an idea I will add it :)

Looking at that corner wall I wonder if it could be made into a book case instead of that solid wasted space ,
