I want to set up an underground sprinkler system. Read a bunch of threads and did the online orbit design but still have questions.

50x50 area will have lawn. Have a hose bib/exterior faucet that I’ll use to feed water. Timer will be located right next to the faucet.

Have a well with a 20gpm pump, but it took me 25 seconds to fill a 5g bucket. Don’t have a way to test pressure but it came out pretty strong.

Questions:

1. I will connect a hose to an underground manifold? From there, the manifold will feed all the sprinklers?
2. Plans called for just one zone.
3. What is better, pvc or poly? It gets really cold during winter.
4. What size will I use, 1/2” or 3/4”?
5. What are the best sprinklers?
