Well, the little yellow/black striped cucumber beetles found me, and now about 1/4 to 1/3 of the Armenian cucumbers have wilt. I don't see wilt yet on the County Fair cucumbers, but I doused the whole trellis in Bonide garden dust. I have had a terrible time with bugs in this downsized garden. Now, I haven't seen any squash bugs or stink bugs yet, but I'm getting ready to yank out those plants anyway to make room for some sugar pumpkin and butternut/acorn squash transplants that have buds all over them. That's my plan this week.

I'm still fighting leaf-hoppers and who knows what else on the new crop of peas and okra. They are growing really well, but full of holes...okra has lacy holes. So, they've had captain jacks and bonide. The only thing not affected (knocks on wood) are all the cole crop transplants that are still living on the patio, but they got dusted just in case, and the container tomatoes. I'm keeping them sprayed/dusted so that I don't lose all that work, too.

I have a gardening friend a few miles away and she is having a banner year. She invited me to come and get some fresh cantaloupe and tomatoes, so I'm taking her up on her offer tomorrow. She grows the best melons.

My yard needs work, and shrubs need trimming. Again. At least it's a nice week to get it done.

Trying to get my warfarin dosage regulated, so this is a week of menu planning, adjustment, and readjustment. I'm trying to plan menus that keep intake consistent, while allowing me to maintain a diet that I can live with. Looks like I may be in Warfarin for life now, so giving up Vitamin K food, for the rest of my life, is just not an option for me. I know I won't stick to it. So, getting a regular amount every day is going to be critical to my dosing.

Well, I hope everyone is doing more work that I am!! :) I can't seem to make myself get going today.
