Thanks Peter and Bragu I will cut on an angle and get some superglue to seal. I will also bring it inside at night time. Its been raining here endless hope I finish my greenhouse soon. My plants are undercover but cold at night. The baby adeniums are in my spare room.

I cut quite a bit and still looks like it hasn't got the plain white flesh, got like a slight greish circle, didn't have superglue so I put B-6000 glue.

Agartta keep a close eye on the branch you may have to keep cutting.i left a little bit of grey on one of my plants and it traveled into the cortex i lost the plant it was a pink one i was going to use for root stock ,if you can take it back a little more. The rot travels inside the branch its to late when it becomes visible. Good luck. halfway you used the wrong accent

cut way below the rot till the stem is green all the way through. And fast. Or you will lose it. I have been growing these plants for 19 years and lost only one. The same way cuz I waited to long.

Agartta I had this problem not long ago on one of my adeniums. Some blooms died and then they stuck onto the branch I didnt realise but when I got some rain the blooms went soggy and when I removed them I found a tiny bit of rot set in on tip of the branch barely noticable, wasn't even 3mm or dark and soggy yet but when I pinched off the tip I found more rot in the healthy looking branch. I ended up cutting off 10cm until I came to bright green stem because brown ring had traveled that far down!

Thanks all for the advice, I did cut another 3 cm off and this time it seemed mostly white flesh. I hope I wont lose the plant as it's a rare import grafted plant.

Ben - your plant healed nicely, I would be happy with that result. I agree, the weather is weird right now here in WA too. like 0 degree one night and 19 degree and sun during day. Hope we wont lose any this winter. I only lost 1 seedling with root rot due to cold weather, but the rest I got are going strong.

Im glad u cut more off i have learnt the hard way but my plants that i lost are from that bodgy batch of seed i got from over your way all pink which he replaced with new seeds

Peter - I am worried not to lose the whole graft or even the root stock. Like it's been mentioned before, it can travel and you see signs when its too late :(

Can u put it in a window with sun it dont have to be full sun this time of the season just keep it out of the chill i have my sick ones in my shed window drying in a real dry potting mix of just coir and coarse perlite to stop root rot

I have window with not much sun, and the glass seems so cold, the plant is in the nursery inside overnight with the babies, I see how it goes, lucky it has two branches, at least I be left with one, I hope.

You could put a normal light bulb in with the baby's to heat them up and your sick plant. i had a box wooden box with a light in it i use to put sick birds in to warm them up i have used this technique on DR it seem to dry the plant out any way it seems that u have it under control good luck

Agartta where did you get your very rare grafted plants from? If only we could get imported adenium's. Has anyone ever looked into importing from thailand or somewhere?

Ben the plant was purchased from rare imports .why don't u look into it and i will be a very good customer

Ben - thats an interesting article. Yes , all my grafted plants comes from RareImports, they get them from Thailand. For me its cheaper to drive 30 min to RareImports as they are based in WA. I did look at importing myself, but, the treatment of plants and permit cost too much. Also, I spoke to the owner few weeks ago, he told me the whole shippment container of Adenium got destroyed as they found 1 sick plant, they didnt treat the single plant they destroyed all, he wasn't happy. So I think its risky to import, especially in the WA where they have tough importing laws. I think I'm lucky living 30 min drive from RareImports nursery :)
