Have you looked for any marks?

Ask for photos of any marks. I doubt this is Tiffany Studios or even a signed counterfeit. Stained glass lamps have been very popular for over a hundred years and new ones that are more intricate than this one are available for less than a couple hundred dollars. Of course this lamp may be far better made, after all it's survived in good condition for a while.

If you do any research you will find that for every 100 leaded glass lamps purported to be Tiffany, only about 4 or 5 are authentic. Reproductions and Tiffany 'style' lamps are common and have been around since the 20's and forgeries are very common. Even a signed lamp is no guarantee as the signatures are often forged. Some are so good that even the Tiffany experts are sometimes fooled

What are they asking for it? That will tell you very quickly if it is real or not. Chances are it's not.

Real Tiffany lamps go for multiple thousands to up into the millions. It is not a real Tiffany :-) But it is a decent price for a reproduction.

Nope...not a real Tiffany lamp. Tiffany Studios didn't make Torchiers ....and a real Tiffany lamp looks very different.
I think $250 is about $200 too much!

It should been advertised as Tiffany 'style'. Real ones are few and far between. My best friend has what she calls Tiffany lamps, all ordered from QVC/HSN.

owners key, James D. Julia sold a Tiffany floor lamp a few weeks ago. If you are still in the market for this style lamp his next lamp sale will be late November.
