IMO you either have a different counter and all the same cabinets or all the same counter and different color island cabinets but not both I think it is too much going on in a kitchen

I agree with Patricia--continue the quartzite on the perimeter or use honed black Jet Mist granite but keep all the cabinets the same color.

I would paint the island a different cabinet color than the rest of the cabinets. But I would keep the counter tops the same on all. And I would never do black counter tops in a kitchen. Keep them light.

You could use the same counter for the rest
