I am getting new countertops and extending the pass-thru counter to 12". Quartz, Unsui is the color. My cabinets will be white. My thought was to replace this dining room table which is obviously too large for the space to a counter height 42" square table. My question is, if this was your space would you go with a Square table in this room or a smaller round counter height table? My thought was rather than buying additional bar stools which may clutter up the small space, using the tables chairs for anyone wanting to sit at the counter and talk to the cook. My other choice is to purchase a smaller table regular height and extend the counter maybe 10 inches to make it more useful. I'm attaching a picture of my current dining room P.s. this is a condo.
