Use the 5 inch pot, better to underpot than overpot. A bit late to repot but seeing it is bareroot there is nothing else you can do. As I've said elsewhere they are easy, the local orchid show is on is a few weeks and without the Cymbidiums (winter in the Southern Hemisphere) we would not be able to have a show.

Your purchase is maybe one to two years away from blooming because you need three or four growths for the plant to be blooming size, after you repot keep the mix from drying out and fertilise to try a get the new growth to mature before winter.

Sorry, I'm not a Cym. expert have nil of those though I have too many orchids, go back to to your supplier for fine tuning advice and good luck.

Thanks Arthurm. Yeah I ordered a near bloom size (3 growth) plant and they sent wrong size so I will be waiting a while. But they made good and are also going to send me a bloom size in another color which was my second choice when I was deciding what to order. I checked the roots in the bag of bark and they look even better than they looked when I got the plant. :) So I will be potting in the morning...it's almost 3am here.
