Too much velvet?

We just purchased a home. New to us, but it's an original midcentury style circa 1951 that has been modernized. The main area of the home is effectively a large shotgun style, that is separated into three large living spaces. The separation is created by a step down between the first two rooms and then an open staircase between the second and third room. In the front room, we want a pair of club chairs in front at the window, with the dining room table immediately behind. Then in the middle room (which is a step down), we will have our main formal living room with a large midcentury sectional. Floors are terra cotta tile, walls are neutral greige.

For the club chairs in front, we like these from West Elm. They only come in velvet. We are thinking of either the dusty rose or wasabi. https://www.westelm.com/products/roar-rabbit-armchair-h1717/

For the sectional in the middle room, we like this sofa from room & Board. http://www.roomandboard.com/catalog/living/sectionals/reese-curved-sectionals We have our choice of fabrics but the one that jumps out is a deep blue velvet. We have another side chair for that space that is an original blue tweed midcentury chair.

Is it too much velvet if we do the chairs in front AND the sectional in the middle? At their closest points, they are at least 25 feet apart from each other and separated by a dining table. Dining table is walnut, and chairs are walnut with vintage cream vinyl seats. We are also fully embracing the midcentury roots of the house, and velvet works pretty well with the style. But I don't want to overdo it!
