Garden Pictures

I took many pictures today, most of which were blurry, weren't worth posting. Here are a few that turned out alright.

There are gulf frit caterpillars all over the vines, far too many to count. The pictures I got weren't good and couldn't capture how many there are out there, so I'll settle for this picture of two adults on a Mexican sunflower -

The pipevine swallowtails are still going strong. Here are some eggs and then some early instar, very red caterpillars. I've noticed that the early instar cats are very red in hot weather, like we're having now -


My milkweed is disgusting!


I planted some of our native white leaf 'mountain' mint last year, and it's attracted many insects, but the butterflies rarely ever visit it. Here's a mystery wasp -

This beautiful male imperial moth is hanging out on the garage, undoubtedly drawn there by the light there that I leave on all night -
