zone 4 hardy thornless blackberry

hey folks. I've been talking with a fellow that owns a nursery in upstate new york. he's trying to find wild blackberry plants , preferably thornless, that grow in at least zone 4. any of you folks have these growing nearby? it would be awesome if this nursery could develop a commercial blackberry variety this cold hardy. i would pay shipping and labor cost if you could dig 2 -4 sprouts and ship them to me. i would then forward to the nursery . I'm not doing this for personal gain, just to help them get the right breeding stock to make this dream become a reality. thank you for your time. happy growing!
