We have leaf miners all over the garden. They don't seem to affect the daylilies much and we ignore them. I think everyone has leaf miner now.

Mostly ours just go after the columbine. Haven't noticed them on much else.

Our state (Ohio) inspector does not even mention them because he says every garden has them. We had fabulous bloom this year and more rebloom than ever.

Thanks everyone for their comments. I've had leaf miners forever on my Columbines but because of a spider mite problem on the Columbines, I end up having to cut back the Columbine foliage in June and that's usually the end of the disfigured foliage. Can't do that with daylilies. Anyway, as I've said, this year they were particularly bad on the daylilies and I got to wondering if anyone else had them. Good to know I'm not alone at the very least, and that no one else has experienced any long term adverse effects from them.....Maryl
