Flooring question for bathroom/laundry

We are redoing this horrible space. The adjoining space has neutral 18' oatmeal mottled tile. Ido not want to use this tile in the laundry/bathroom.
Should the laundry/bathroom have the same flooring as each other, or can the laundry match the existing tile from the adjoining space and the bathroom be something else?

9 years agoI just not want stuck with this tile in the bathroom where it's a focal point! It's covered by area rugs largely in the family room. :D
I'd rather go with a real stone of the same color if I need to to make it flow the best...good or bad idea?
