If you use a hand pump water bottle, it's easier to not overwater. Remember: dry bin gives you dead worms.

Thank you! I have been adding a lot of watermelon which is helping but I do have a spray bottle next to my bin as well. Been working the last few days to get it right... improving slow but sure.

Im guessing you have the dry situation under control by now. Certainly a spray bottle handy by the bin is almost a must. When I add watermelon that is the only time I get drainage out my overflow. I usually add more newsprint when I add melon. I also try to have several layers of newsprint covering the top tray of my 360 and well-moistened with the spray bottle. Not sure why you have the dry issue. I usually pre mix my bedding and make sure it is good and moist and then the natural movement of the worms doing their thing adds to the moisture.
