I agree. Since you are so much involved in choosing the faucet, you notice the details more. Someone who would just casually be looking at it won't even notice it.

If it makes sense functionally to raise it, then go for it.

I have the same problem. Getting new granite counter top soon and decided on a taller faucet with 60/40 sink. It's really not a big deal if I keep my OCD at bay ;-) And like others said, we won't notice it after awhile and it'll be worth it.

Pull that sink and undermount a large single bowl or maybe a low divide. (That job took me 4 hours yesterday including profiling and polishing the raw cut out.) Mount the faucet in the center, symmetry is restored, and you'll lose that awful replacement faucet escutcheon.

Agree with Corlett, with I would definitely place the faucet in the middle of the overall sink . Here are a few pics showing that symmetry to the windows over shadows the symmetry to the sink-

although the other formats shown here are great, what you are doing is fine. I have a couple homes and have a corner sink with window above[faucet to side], a sink on non window wall and a sink centered under window [faucet is centered]. Sometimes this is all much to do about nothing.....however.....I have small/inexpensive sheer café curtains across the windows...as this cuts sun and glare out of my eyes....and there is splashing at sinks...and I think exposed windows/framing/etc . at sinks and above prep areas is over rated. If what you are doing ends up a bother for you visually, just run a café curtain across lower part of window is my solution [won't see symmetry-- or lack of]. Anyone who is planning a renovation with a beautiful new undermount sink and [not cheap] faucet should definitely get it how they desire....it's not unimportant....but you will be fine with your plan.

Do they make lopsided escutcheons? If you have the plate on your sink because there are extra holes, is there one in the center of the sink? With a bigger faucet you won't need to have it on the divider--you could maybe put it right under the window divider. But you'd need the plate.

How many holes do you have and where are they located? And how many soap dispensers is too many? :)

Fori, I love your "out of the box" thinking. The sink has 3 holes and the escutcheon is centered with the sink divider.

Sure, but it would be custom and therefore relatively expensive.

I've changed many sinks over the years; I've yet to hear a regret.

If the hole farthest to the left is centered on the entire length of the sink and window, you could install the faucet there and use the two holes to the right for gadgets such as a soap dispenser and disposal button.

Even the little buttons that cover holes aren't that unsightly.

However, you DON'T need to center it. Keep your sink. If you can't live with it after the new faucet goes in, THEN get a new sink.

I suppose you could move the faucet to the left hole, install the escutcheon, and put a soap dispenser in the exposed right hole.

I think the faucet will be fine. I would prefer to keep it centered on the sink divide to ensure it easily reaches both bowls.

I do not think you need to replace the sink. if you're happy with it, keep it and just replace the faucet. (We have a large two-bowl sink and prefer that over a large single bowl.)

Our faucet is not centered on the window and I never even think about unless a question like this comes up. (We do have a "window well" behind our sink.)

If it bothers you a little, just turn the faucet spout to the left when not in use and it will look centered!

It's pretty easy to install a faucet. Just do it. You will love a giant faucet! If you can't get over how it looks, put the old one back in or get a new sink (don't do that. You like your sink. It's not that easy to find a sink one likes.).
