I do not live in your climate. If the seedlings have 4-6 true leaves, they can be out in sunlight. If they have been sheltered from the sun, then move them out for short periods during a time Not in hottest part of day.

As for rain, it will depend on how much and if they are able to dry back a bit. Not so much as for which older plants would need, but just so they are not constantly wet.

Thanks for the reply Rick. I think the 3 month old seedlings are ready then, but maybe I should wait to move the DHA out.

Hi Deborah. I reside in s florida... been growing adeniums since 93. As long as u have seedling trays above 3ft from ground with air flow underneath the tray u should no prob with seedlings handling ALL DAY sun. Never put pots or trays on flat table it needs air underneath. S Fl has very warm n high humidity which adeniums love. The height of 3ft or more above ground will eliminate any molds or fungus prob. Ur adeniums will b able to grow 11 mons out of a yr outside. If losing soil is a concern put small heavy inerts on top surface (turface or gravel)

I never realized raising them off of the ground would make a difference. I will make that change. :-) I'm on the coast just NW of Tampa, so although I don't get the same winter temps they do inland, I still get some cold weather.
