The art piece looks a bit "granny" although I can't determine the subject matter. I'm not a fan of bedskirts if the bed has finished rails and legs. This bed would look better if anchored on a nice rug. Perhaps your gray wall paint is not a good fit with the warmer colors in your chair and bedding. The chair and table with it look straight and stiff - not what you'd want to cozy up in to read or relax. Can't tell for sure if there are two night stands, but if so, they need matching lamps. A chunky table requires a chunky lamp, not a skinny, spindly one like you have. The tables should arrive at mattress height and when lamps are added, the total measurement from the floor should be 58-64". You should consider stationary panels flanking the windows to soften and warm the room so it is more welcoming.

Move the chair to a better spot, get rid of the bed skirt, and get a nice big soft, light colored rug.

You need an area rug, curtains, throw.

If you don't want to change your comforter, try adding some solid euro pillows. It also looks a little dark, so I would definitely suggest adding another table lamp and a light colored rug-- everything is so dark, dark floor, dark furniture, dark walls. The chair looks like its in an awkward spot, try moving it somewhere else! Happy decorating!

Try removing the art above the bed and maybe add mirrors over the nightstands to reflect light.

Second all the rug suggestions. That's what I immediately thought of when I saw the pic. And brightening up the room overall. A light, solid comforter would help immensely.
