Noids are typically, not as fancy (fringed, multi-colored, fantasy, etc.) ... which may add to the staying power of their blooms.

Although there is some difference in how some varieties keep their blooms, generally, I don't find that NOID flowers last longer that those of named varieties ....

Hmm... the last time all my plants were blooming was a while ago (made a few huge mistakes a while back, then a few more), so I'm not sure personally. But if other people experience this, I wonder if it comes down to a sensitivity thing? Like, maybe fancier ones require something different in their environment? Much curious.

I cant comment on the biological facts regarding the differences between NOIDS and named plants. What I can say, from my own experiences is that most of my NOIDS happened to be Optimara plants which are definately hearty bloomers and have been bred for resiliance. Most of my named plants have been bred primarily for aesthetics. As a result, my NOIDS are definately easier to keep healthy.

Totally what Jeff said. A few of my no-ids have survived some really bad mistakes.
