    Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. We recommend using a rectangular rug under an oval table. For a 4' x 5' oval table specifically, a 7'6" x 10' or 8' x 10' rug would be the best fit. You want to make sure all of your dining chairs can fit comfortably on the rug, even in the pulled out position. Please let us know if you have any further questions!
