I remember your thread early in the summer. You decided to let it go dormant? Did you decide anything about renovating or have you decided to keep it as is?

Yes I did decide to let it go dormant and try again come this fall.

I am going to de-thatch and aerate and over-seed the few bare spots.

I cut the lawn to 3" last night and bagged the clippings. There is still quite a bit of dead looking blades of grass mixed in.

How have you been doing with your lawn?

I halted the spread of the fungus, dug up the dead patches, and reseeded last Friday. I have penn mulch and some light trees branches on it to help with moisture and keep the birds away. Will take pics in another week or so....

I would not stress the grass with chemicals while dormant. I would start with deep watering.
