The first picture is the glass that the plant came in. Should i still remove it from the container. (Personally had it for 6 months now) the second one.... I had actually thought to put on my trelles for my pathos so that works well.

Any orchid fertilizer will work?

I would definitely remove them from the glass and find them more open space. You have very tolerant species, great for beginners, but it's still good to minimize the risk of rotting.

And yes, any orchid fertilizer is fine. Or any other fertilizer for application on leaves, just use very low concentration. I have bad experience only with fertilizer that had increased amount of trace metals, it left dark precipitate on leaves and took some time to wash it away.

Here's an example of how you can hang them with wire:

This is aluminum wire that I bought at the nursery where I bought the tillandsia. The wire is soft and easy to bend, and I coil it around loosely so that I do not bind the plant. This allows maximum air circulation. I generally do not feed mine, but they live outdoors and don't seem to need it, but they might if you grow them indoors. Hummingbirds like to visit them when the flowers are open.

I live in alberta canada. Netoriously dry and hot or super wet all of the sudden. I would prefer to keep mine indoors to limit the shock factor. It can also get up to plus fourty in the summer time.

This is how i have moved the one airplant for the moment. The other one will have to last until i can get out and get some plant friendly wire. I also have 24 other airplants on the way from an online sale. (addicted i tell ya)
