Order of operations for remodel

We are remolding most of our downstairs and I want to make sure I have my order correct. Here's our plan

-demo cabinets and floors
-paint walls
-install floors
-install cabinets and appliances
-install counters
-install backsplash

I always paint walls last...after everything else is installed, you may even have second thoughts about paint colors. Personally, I NEVER paint walls without all fabrics such as sofas, carpets, rugs, window treatments...then choosing the RIGHT color will be easier and only have to be done once. There are thousands of paint colors and shades, but only a few carpet, rugs, furniture, etc. that you will like.

That order sounds correct. You may not be able to fully "install" all the kitchen appliances before the countertops but you should have their measurements.

Make sure to have some leftover paint too in case you need to make any touch ups after everything is installed!

We're not updating our funiture so I know what it will be. I'd like to avoid messing up the new cabinets,floors, or trim so I'm thinking painting first would be best. We already have all the materials so I can check the paint color with them.

Install the floor after the cabinets and before the appliances. There is less risk of scratching if you do it that way. Make sure you floor under where the range and the dishwasher go.

Is not tiling under cabinets standard practice? I am considering remodeling my kitchen and I think (not 100% sure) our contractor told us they have to remove the lower cabinets to change the tile...

They have to remove the lowers to remove the current tile. Tile is hell to get up there's no way to not damage the cabinets. The new title would go under the appliances but not the cabinets.
