Is the backsplash marble or another material?

I love how it looks, but don't see veining close up to know for sure. We're doing our kitchen backsplash, and I love the way marble looks, but my husband is leery of actually using it because of the upkeep. If it's not marble, could you tell me the manufacturer/style? Thank you!!
