    This household has two kitty cats. Their sand box is "hidden" behind these doors. The curved openings at the door bottoms give easy access to the kitties, looks good in the room and gives the homoeowners easy access to clean and refresh the litter box. As a side note - whenever I specify an arrangement like this, I always have a pair of regular doors made as well in case the homeowners want to switch back to a regular lower cabinet.

      The room is about 10.5 feet wide. The counter on the left is 24" deep, the washer/dryer on the right are about 34" deep and the floor space in between is 5.5 feet. The rug is 4'x6'.

      All the tile is natural stone: The floor tile is Jerusalem Gold Honed limestone of various sizes laid in a modified Versailles pattern. The counter and backsplash tile is Tumbled Jerusalem Antique Gold 4"x4". The deco's include Chinatown Red Pebbles Mosaic (honed red limestone) and Tumbled Jerusalem Antique Gold 1"x1" with 1/2" domed liner in Classic Light Travertine. Thanks for your question, Marion.

      Is there an access panel for the dryer vent hook-up ( or was a dryer vent box in the wall used) and for the washer tap set? Or if not how does the home owner access these two items in the event of a problem?

      Very observant. The water hook-up for the washer was installed much higher in the wall and is accessible via the cupboard above the washing machine. The homeowner needs a step stool - but then reach back to turn the water off and on. Same with the dryer, which by the way is vented up through the ceiling of the laundry room. I hope this helps you out.

      Yes, thanks very much. These things are always a challenge. We have a badly placed Oatley washer tap set box set on an interior side wall as the washer and dryer back on an outside, but insulated, wall, but will be using a dryer box from www.dryerbox.com to resolve the venting and space problem with our dryer. We've used one in the last house and it was a terrific way to ensure the vent hose did not kink.
