I think quality is more important than brand matching.

I don't think KitchenAid makes a counter depth fridge. Check the online appliance places, who offer package deals, no tax and free shipping.

I got a Liebherr fridge and Bosch everything else. Bosch had a 10% off deal if you bought 3 or more appliances.

No problem mixing and matching if you like the features. Do check for reliability ratings.

Get what you want. With that a high end home where you live, future buyers will probably replace everything anyway.

Kitchen Aid absolutely makes a counter depth refrigerator--I've had one for about 5 years now, along with their dishwasher. However, I got a GE range and microwave with handles that match the kitchen aid, so it all works. If the price differential between the Wolf/Kitchen Aid vs. all Kitchen Aid is minimal, and you really want the Wolf cooktop/oven, then go for it!

Diana, just checked, and don't find one less than 27 3/4" deep, so Kitchenaid does not make a true counter depth (less than 25").

The price point is only relevant to the location (a million dollar home in Southern California - think old shoe box- does NOT look like a million dollar home in Des Moines - think mansion). In general I would say buy the most expensive appliances that you can afford and that make sense in your location's price point. And in general I think they should match, but they certainly do not have to. If you're only going to go higher end on one appliance, then the cooktop is probably the best one.

Do it all in GE Monogram IF you want a match in brands. But it's not necessary. I also think a Wolf range is unnecessary, and better performance is GE Monogram in that regard, with far fewer service issues and friendlier price point

I'd have a Sub Zero fridge.....GE Monogram range, and range and the rest is whatever ............ : )

IMO appliances should be chosen one at a time with great thought about how you use them , that is why stainless has been around for so long , you don’t have to worry about matching colors. I have a Bertazzoni all gas range, KA double wall ovens , fridgedaire all fridge/ all freezer with built in kit and a bosch DW they all look great together and function how I want them to. BTW got a deal just because I bought them all from the one appliance store.

No need to match the brands. If you like the Wolf range, get that. You might want to check Blue Star as well (they have really good ranges..my in-laws got one and it's great). For the fridge, stay away from Liebherr (they have problems with the ice maker and some of the sensors are awful)

We too are building a house in that price range and we picked our appliances based on its function for our house. All are stainless but brands are different. I'm not worried at all about the differences.

i'm guessing if you mentioned the price, it must be something special for where you live. which means the next person to own it would think it was something special too, and will replace what they dont like with what they do. so please yourself with your appliances, not a Mythic Future Buyer.

latifolia, I am looking at my Kitchen Aid Counter depth french door refrigerator. Yes, it is truly counter depth. Model #KFC22EVMS. I agree with getting what you want. No need to match brands. In our last remodel we went with a builder package (Kitchen Aid) because my husband was all about their commercial style range, but I just had to have my Fisher & Paykel double drawer dishwasher because those just work for me, so swapped out the dishwasher. In past homes I never matched brands either. Had Sub-zero, Dacor, and Fisher & Paykel. I shopped based on features, size, and yes, cohesiveness.

I have just had to replace a dishwasher, stove and microwave over the last few months and did a LOT of research on each. We wanted the best brand we could afford - our priority and they also had to meet our needs. We did though ensure they worked with each other/felt cohesive. I really don't think people are willing to give up quality in order to have the same brand.
