Mexican Ariel?

On the way to my parents cabin is a Mexican Mennonite store. Is this Mexican Ariel? Can it be used in a front loader?

    Never heard of this?

Any idea what they use for the ingredient just labeled "water softener"? Washing soda? Borax? Salt? Just curious when they use ambiguous terms.

It was phosphates and after some lab test from someone Larsi knows it still is.

It did smell strong in the bag so good to know. I may grab on the way back. We have to stop for more hot tamales YUM. They only had the one small bag of the powder. Would the liquid be ok in FL as well?

I planned on stopping at starsky's again to buy more Persil lavender. Here is closer shot of the label of that helps.

So, the Mexican Ariel still has phosphates?

"cynic: Any idea what they use for the ingredient just labeled "water softener"? Washing soda? Borax? Salt?"

Salt (meaning sodium chloride?) is a water softener?

The liquid Ariel is pretty decent, it's strongly scented and I've found that it removes odors very well so I use it for any stinky laundry that I have. It's not HE but I just use a little less than a full cap in my FL along with an extra rinse.

Livebetter yes that's the US Ariel

    It's US? That's not good right? :(

Why do they say Mexico City on the import label?

This is Larsi's pic of Mexican Ariel.

I think the US Ariel is also made in Mexico.

my Mexican Ariel bags look the same as Larsi's. My local Walmarts bags of Ariel look like yours but I do think its all made in Mexico I'll check when I go to Walmart.

I bought this at a Mexican Mennonite store so I'm surprised it's not Mexican.

We're staying at my parents overnight and the Ariel is smelling up the entire car. Lol

Hmm I suppose it could be the real thing. I don't really know for absolute certainty now. LOL... was it pricey? It usually is cheap.

It's a smal bag. Everything in Canada costs more. It was $4.

A bag was $10 something in my Michigan Walmart. All the text was in Spanish. Strong fragrance though the plastic bag which had a thick film of detergent on it. I did not buy it.

Even though the Walmart Ariel had Spanish text it was not the Ariel manufactured for the Central/North American/Mexican market. It was manufactured for the US latino market. Meaning no phosphates, it is still a good detergent.

I thought the price was rather high. From what I could read it seems to say one cup per load?

One cup even for a traditional top loader is too much 1/2 cup for tl...a few tablespoons for fl. Heather is right the Walmart Ariel is a different formula from the Mexican Ariel. But its as good as Tide as far as cleaning proformance.

Elizabeth I think its around 4 $ at most Walmarts and its much cheaper than Tide and works just as well...the scent is strong in the bag but leaves the clothes just smelling very fresh....I prefer the Mexican Ariel...Elizabeth do a search for Mexican grocery stores in your area that's where you will find the great Ariel.

I find the real Mexican Ariel at small discount stores in Hispanic neighborhoods. I buy the small tiny bags and use one heaping tablespoon in my compact FL. It works great but if I over dose it gets a little sudsy.

There are no Mexican or any ethnic stores here. I will have to look when I travel.
