oh looks awesome. what kind of satsuma is it? got an Owari couple of weeks ago and hope it will look as nice as yours one day :)

This is Armstrong Early. I also have an Owari, but it's smaller.

Did you had any of your Owari? As good growing as this one? Just love the look of your tree. How old is it?

Dave, those look great! You have done a wonderful job with that tree. Can I ask how old it is and how large that container is?

Susanne, there are some fruit on the Owari too, but I have not tried them yet. It's a younger plant and there aren't near as many fruit. I want to let them ripen appropriately. The Owari is growing stongly too. It took a year or so for it to recover from the store....got it at Lowes only two summers ago. The Armstrong could be about 4 to 5 years. Got it at CostCo. Can't remember anymore. I'm anxious to compare the taste of the Armstrong with the Owari under similar growing conditions.

Laura, 4 to 5 years old maybe. Container for the Armstrong is about 18-20" across. It pretty much concentrated on producing fruit this year. It did not grow much in the way of foliage.

Do you give that absolute full sun or some shade? Mine appears to perk up in cooler conditions. I'm thinking I may have been cooking it.

Dave, what a beautiful tree! Does it flower while it has already fruit on it?

bklyn: This gets maybe 6-7 hours of full sun and dappled shade the rest of the day.

sunshine: No, the fruit is gone by late Dec (eaten). It usually blooms in late March or April.

Looks great and gives me hope for some fruits next year on my tree too :)
