We have cover panels on either side of our dishwasher. Original plan did not call for them but they were added as a "fix" to contractor measuring error that left an extra 1" gap around dishwasher. By the time the error was noted, counters were already in and I didn't have the heart to take him up on offer to pay for replacing counters and reinstalling cabinets. Does your plan require them for spacing? I have to say it looks alright - maybe b/c we did all the other trim on its side for a "boxed" look with the Bjorket - but I don't think I'd choose it on purpose if there was not another compelling reason. Our previous IKEA kitchen did not have the side panels (if I recall correctly). In both cases we had the front panel dishwasher.

If you have cabinets on either side the end panels aren't necessary.

Hi, did you end up not putting the cover panels on either side of the dishwasher? I would like to eliminate them too, but I wanted to make sure it didn't end up looking weird without them?
