iMO repellent is only for outdoors and for humans or pets; in all other instances it is more effective and simpler to kill them.

John organic rarely kills but looks for a balance. Think about your wasp ;) Kill everything as soon as it emerges built resistance to the chemical, and no beneficial left to help. But you already know that :)

We take great care not to kill our beneficials; it is about how and when the chemical is applied to kill the bad guys (organic or inorganic is irrelevant; it is mostly a feel good thing) The important thing is you kill the bad guys; repellent only serves to move them to another person or plant, where they will do the same damage or worse. Finally, IPM, not organic or inorganic, looks for a balance; but with some things such as Medfly or ACP (citrus greening vector) balance is a losing proposition ... one is enough to devastate an industry. Balance works pretty well at controlling populations of white fly and the wasp that attacks it. Balance does not work so well with things that kill the plant/animal/human. Balance would be you and a Grizzly bear in a small room.
