Use the home for 6 months. Then decide. My guess is you will never miss it! Most people these days use their jetted tubs once or twice, and then try to figure out why they ever put it in in the first place.

Although the shower side is not pictured and it is difficult to tell the condition of the cabinetry and countertops, I would suggest at least updating the vertical shower walls that are visible from this view.

The tub is usually right where you have the chair right now - or more accurately, where the sellers' put the chair. I have sold many homes with this configuration and the shower is actually two shower heads (at least) and is a walk through with the tub either perpendicular to the wall or parallel with it (free standing type). Let me see if I can find a decent pic for you.

This one shows a built-in tub parallel to the shower walls but I usually see it perpendicular to that middle wall.

Try and live in the house before you start doing any renovating. The bathroom looks useable as it is right now and while you wait you can see how you actually use the bathroom and at the same time can do your research and put an actual plan together which will give you an idea if your budget can afford a whole or partial remodel. I've had a similar bathroom and found those walk thru showers to be very drafty and cold (and this was in AZ!). You may find that configuring the shower to more of an enclose one will be something you want more than a tub..
