I ended up just spraying the one plant with the whiteflies, but I kept those lacewings in mind and sprayed as little as possible. I still have lacewing egg masses around (even on a blade of ornamental grass, lol), so maybe they helped, but either way, the whiteflies seem to be under control. Or they might have just moved elsewhere.

I had to spray and remove a mass of eggs and critters that took up residence under one of the leaves of my giant key lime, however I don't think they were lacewings...they were black and starting to spread. I wish I'd taken a pic.

I just looked it up and am sure they were stink bug eggs and hatchlings. Good riddance!

Laura, this summer stink bugs took over my garden and layed eggs everywhere! Almost ruined my garden before i figured out what was going on. The eggs stick to the leaves like velcro. Ugh. I hope i dont get them on my citrus.

Lauren, I sprayed them with Ho/neem/soap and then wiped everything off with a paper towel and sprayed again. They're gone. I'm sorry about your garden!

We watch our trees like a hawk, but those pests find a way! The wasps are dying on my balcony, found 3 dead ones on the floor. They built a nest there end of August, the nest is there with less wasps. I have not sprayed anything lethal.
