Lovely lovely room. I usually go for POP. So I would choose a bright rug and not too small. You have beautiful colors to choose from, already in your room. For some reason, I am thinking a bright Aqua. But that is my intensity showing ;) is there another bright that you like that would blend with your other colors? I do think a rug will make it a tad more cozy. But I don't think its completely necessary.

Yes, a rug will polish off the lovely room. I would go for a pattern with color, but I like color.

I definitely think a rug would add warmth to the room and make it look finished and cohesive. It should be a large size though--at least a 9x12--in order to fit with your large sectional.

Marian for sure get a rug. The tile is dated, so you will get good look with rug.

You could go with Bohemian, Vintage, or creamy white shag. Or the black and white Stockholm rug. Or a cream, white, gray Moroccan tribal rug.
