It won't let me edit, so I'll add - it seems to be thornless. It's just a band though - can you tell thorn/thornless when a rose is just band size?

scent is still there. Light, sweet, maybe licorice.

It might be Sunsprite, a fragrant yellow rose thatI used to grow. The blooms would blow quickly in my yard.

Thanks Zack! It does look a lot like Sunsprite. I isn't blowing so much as fading to a very near-white. Not ugly, IMO, but not that first yellow for very long. Rogue Valley does have Sunsprite in stock. The fragrance is pretty light - I'm not sure I'd call it strong, but then again I only have one bloom not a loaded bush.

From RV's in-stock yellows, it looks most like Sunsprite, Sun Flare, or Gold Badge. It definitely has a scent though, so I think that rules out Gold Badge.

I wish I'd gotten another picture in-between that first, starting to open pic and the fully opened one. I want to say they're only a day apart, but they could well be two.

Anybody out there grown Sun Flare/Cl. Sun Flare/ Yellow Blaze for comparison?

I think Zack's guess of Sunsprite is a good one. At different times, I have grown Sunsprite, Sun Flare and Gold Badge , and that bloom definitely resembles Sunsprite the most.
