Kitchen sink size/Plumbing question

We are redoing our kitchen and am unsure if a 9" depth sink will work with my current plumbing. The sink will be undermounted so there is 12" between top of the cabinet to the drain pipe. Is 3" enough space (height) between sink drain and drain pipe to the sewer?

I don't have the sink/counter installed yet but I'll post a picture of what I got going on. Also have 2 drain pipes so I'm thinking if the one is to high I could use the other one.

Get the sink you want. Plumbing is relatively easy to move and certainly should never dictates sink choice.

If those pipes are plastic, they are easy to move/shorten.
