Is anyone here fluent in housing water filtration? I'm in the UK, with a 3 bedroom home and looking for a kitchen water filter or perhaps even a full home water filter.
I've been looking into options and thought of going with the Waterdrop 3 stage filtration, and planned to use it on a 3 way tap. I've ordered the 3 way tap (stupidly), and the Waterdrop company have said you cannot use other taps other than the one supplied with their product.
This, I think is likely not true, and I imagine they want to mitigate any liability if they said you could use another tap and then it leaked or something. Does this sound like what's going on?
I'm an aquarist by trade, so I understand filtration units and plumbing, but I'm not as versed with household plumbing and flow rates etc.
I know 2 main things I am avoiding, I do not want a water softener (no salt and actually want my water filtered), and I don't want an RO unit. RO is too pure and if I had one, I'd want to remineralise and that is pretty costly.
I would consider a full home filtration unit as I have eczema but I'm not sure on what's best and worried about reducing the flow to the house.
