It does look (visually) like Alphonso except according to this website they ripen June/July and yours look to be a much later season variety...SO many out there now its almost difficult to tell, either way LUCKY you!! Enjoy them!!

Thank you Puglvr1, yes when I google Alphonso mango the fruiting time noted seems different from my tree. I have another mango tree and the fruit on this one always ripen at least 2 months after the other mango variety fruit is finished. This mango tree also seems to enjoy a rest as I had no fruit in 2016 but had a large harvest in 2015 and this year only a portion of the tree fruited.

Thanks everyone for your input :) I would like to add that the ripened mango has some fiber and flesh is dark orange and wonderfully sweet.

Since it has some fiber its possible it's a seedling? As long as you like it that's the important thing... Enjoy them!!

Wow, here I am with only two crops of fruits, bananas and mango's, - concentrating mostly nowadays on the bananas 'cause my last mango dropped two months ago, and I see your post about your late season mango's. Nice to focus again on my favorite fruit, if only for a day or so ! ( smile )

Having dealt with only about 15 different mango trees over the last 20 years, I have no clue as to what type your late season fruit is. The only late season guys I have dealt with are Valencia Pride, Kent, Tebow and Bailey's Marvel,... and from what I see yours doesn't look like any of them.

The good news of course is that the fiber is minimal and you enjoy eating them. Hmmm, enjoying freshly picked mango's this late in the season,...cool, very cool ! lol

I just picked my last 2 Keitts yesterday...this is actually early for this variety. Last year I picked my last few the end of Sept early Oct. I think the heavy rains caused the fruits to ripen a month earlier than usual...Keitt is the latest mango variety season I know of...In California Keitt can last till almost Thanksgiving...they are usually about a month or so later than Florida...Enjoy!

Puglvr1, how do you like the taste of the Keith's, compared to other mango's you've tasted ?

It's not as delicious as Glenn... since Keitt is a very late season mango I really like it. Its sweet, no fiber and the fruits are very large. Visually speaking the mango isn't a "pretty" fruit...it stays green even when it's ripe. Only the few that gets direct sun on the tree has a slight blush. I've had 2-3 lbs fruits and I've seen some pictures at almost 5 lbs! I guess they are capable of producing very large fruits especially if the tree is not over loaded...the more fruits it has the smaller the size. I especially enjoy them because when all the others are gone by July...I know I still have some to eat through Sept. :o)

The last mango on the tree was harvest today, just before hurricane Irma is suppose to be passing by, stay safe all
