LOL, it isn't my taste either. I just don't want to junk something and discover later it was worth thousands.
I can't find markings, but the base is really heavy, like it is carved rock, which makes me doubt it is from a department store.

Check with MOMA. It looks familiar to me too. I purchased a mobile for my Grandson that reminds me of this lamp.
