How did you lighten the ceiling? We have the same dark color now, need to lighten it up!

We did not change the ceiling - it's original cedar. However, there is a skylight that adds some light ... and we went overboard on lighting in the room. Pendant lights, track lights positions to light surfaces, under cabinet lighting, toe kick lighting (on the dining bridge side of the island). And though the cabinets are dark, the bamboo floor, the cream colored quartz countertops all add brightness to the room. If you're looking to lighten your ceiling, I would think about lights above your cabinets, pointed upward to your ceiling. Something soft, to flood the ceiling with light (not spots). Good luck!

We purchased the backsplash from Walker Zanger. It is: Moda Mosaic and the color is Prado

What is the brand of the refrigerator? When you say there is a veneer skin on the refrigerator is that the 1/4 veneer or a complete door panel. We want to do this by for the custom cabinet doors it is an addition 1800 plus handles so 2300.00. But just the veneer option is about 600.0.

The refrigerator is GE Monogram series ... But I believe that we purchasrd the door panel from our cabinet maker, Cabico. The handles ... Well, that's another story. The handles on our refrigerator are actually for our oven. We had a prob w the oven, called for repair and was conversing with the repairman. Suggested that we wished they had thicker handles for the refrigerator to match the oven. Our repairman came thru and got us a second set of oven handles that we used on the refrigerator. Not sure what the veneer cost was, but wanted the look so ... I kept careful watch on the budget and would trim in other places to make up for overages. Good luck with your project!
