I know this is an old thread but I want to note that deer don't eat my ornamental grass but the bears eat it down to the roots! It does grow back though. Bears eat the thorny raspberry canes and joepye weed down to the roots, too, and they grow back bigger than ever AFTER I spray the whole shebang. Sometimes bears are worse than deer.

I'm not sure how this post got overlooked - maybe it was the reference to grass seed being deer resistant or not, rather than the grasses themselves. Regardless, I am happy to report that virtually ALL ornamental grasses are deer resistant!! And this is confirmed by one of the largest mail order OG nurseries in North America, Bluestem.

Didn't know that about the bears.......just plenty glad there are none of them around me!! The herds of deer are bad enough :-)
