My first thought would be to trim off the buds without damaging the terminal growth tip. Allowing the energy to be put into fusing the graft site.

Peter- hope the PINK one will take for you :) . Did u use superglue or grafting tape?

No glue on the v graft used glue on the flat graft i have 4 grafts on this plant .yea rick i just grafted it on to save the colour i will trim them off it it is recommended

Peter, It may not be an issue for the scion, but you know you will get blooms from it sooner or later and if chances are greater to have it take, then it may be worth it.

Hi Peter could you tell me the name of the superglue you used please? Have had trouble with the superglue not lasting and the scion lifting away from the mother. Your Ideas would be appreciated thanks.

Maria i use a loctite brand only because i got it for nothing it is abit pricey to buy i have allso held it in place with a plastic satchel bag stretched over the scion holding it down ,i cut the lock seal off to make it ezy then rap an elastic band around to seal when gluing don't knock the graft at all for months good luck ps my grafts don't seem to last long i think its something to do with hand ball as the kids have got older less ball games my success has gone up funny that:×)

Peter I have got a friend here and she grafts all the time you would not believe what she uses to hold the grafts on Plumbers tape you know the white stuff she grafts and wrap the plumbers tape on and put bag on over it with rubber band it works

Cool if it works i could get heaps of that
