Does giant whitefly wax deter predators?

Will rinsing the excessive wax of a giant whitefly-infested tropical hibiscus be enough to get predators going on it?

I have a nice assortment of predators on a neighboring hibiscus that is mildly infested, but the one that looks like a flocked Christmas tree if I don't wash it frequently has nothing. Well, it has a few spiders and many parasitiods, but there aren't any lacewings or ladybugs or anything else.

I've been washing and rubbing off the whiteflies for the past 10 days (they don't come off with a mere jet of water) but if I could reduce that to just knocking back the furry stuff, I'd be much happier!
