Glass on glass mosaic glue not drying

I have a situation that I wonder if any of you have experienced and
how you solved it. I have made my 2nd glass on glass mosaic window. The
glue (I use Weld bond) is drying super super slow between the glass
pieces. It seems to have dried quickly around the edges of the pieces,
but isn't drying in the middle of the pieces. I want to wait until it's
completely dry before I grout it because I think that'll retard the
drying process even more (maybe even NEVER dry). I've placed the window
outside in the sun for days at a time, I've placed it against the wall
by an air conditioning vent, and I'm now trying a blow dryer both sides
of the glass. That might work, but the amount of time placing the
hairdryer on each un-dried piece is too much.

Has anyone else had this issue? How'd you solve it?

Sorry I can't help but I'd like to know the answer as well as I'm about to do a GOG project myself. I was planning on using E6000 though, not Weldbond

It's over a month since my post above, (over 2 months since the last piece was glued on) and my glue is still not totally dried on some of the pieces. I've been taking pictures along the way, and it IS drying, but I have trouble moving on to another project when I can't complete this one by grouting.

My latest idea is placing a heating pad onto it. I've had it there (on high setting) for over 24 hours now and I can't really see that it's made any progress since yesterday.

Please help if you've got any suggestions or solutions!

Having a similar problem. I notice it more on the larger pieces only. It needs to dry soon!! Christmas is coming!!!

I had the same issue. I just left it to dry and eventually it did but it took a really long time.

Thanks for the input! The E6000 might be better suited bc it's clear to begin with, not white. I'll probably use that on my next one. Do NOT try the heating pad bc the one I had used was "old style" and didn't have an auto shut off feature. I left it on too long & cracked the pane of glass that was original on the window. It's not totally noticeable but I know it's there

I havent grouted the piece yet but after about 4 months, the glue is almost (but still not totally) dry!

I use clear GE silicone II on glass on glass.

I've had the very same problem! Took a year on my last project. Thought it would work better on my current smaller project. Will definitely not use it on the next glass on glass project. Going to give E600 glue a chance. So unhappy about this as it is an outdoor autumn mosaic. Hope I don't have to wait til next Fall to be able to display it, as it is quite lovely!
