I have two AVs which I think need crownectomies. Both appear to have necks with lots of lower leaves; however, both have blossoms from the top leaves. I think that if I take off the top growth and reroot it, I will have two lovely plants. The question is: what do I do with the "stump" that is left> Do I leave it? Will it grow a new crown so that I will then have four plants?
