I think a big bright mirror in a fun shape would look awesome! maybe a golden starburst or something marrakech-ey in blue or green?

I think you need something to offset the neutral tones and make that area of the room pop so that it seems specifically separate and more like a foyer and less like an extension of the room.

If you don't like the idea of a bold mirror, them maybe something more neutral with a colorful vase full of large flowers or other decorative natural element?

The space needs something quite large above the table. Tape up a couple sheets of newspaper to see what works, then buy some colorful artwork.

The table looks small in the space. Four to six blueprints mounted as a gallery might work. If you're using only two blueprints, matt them generously.

I would put the blueprints on the opposite wall.

Love all the mock ups... I would keep the other side from this, "grand theme" extremely simple or nothing.

And don't cheap out on the art. No "giclee" crap.

I'd rather see a blank wall than one with something cheap and cheesy on it.

Therefore, if you can't afford something large, which is hard to find, then go with some prints that you can do in a grid.

Search Chairish or EBTH or etsy or resale/consignment stores in your area. Or, if you find a really large piece with a nice frame at a thrift store and it's cheap, buy it (because framing is ridiculously expensive) then find a local art school and have someone do a painting for you.
You can repaint the frame...

Thank you all so much! I feel the table might be a little small for that area too. All of you have me on a mission now. I can find another place for the table if needed. Off to find a great rug today and go from there!
