Hi! We love the older style of our home (extended from an early 1900's farm house), but the cedar needs a re-oil. We're not sure what the past owners used. I do know the balustrading is heritage Indian Red. Should we try to use a cedar-toned semi transparent acrylic like Intergrain, and just re-paint the red, change just the red, or paint the whole place another colour? We really don't like modern, faddish or trendy...just what will suit the style of our home. Thanks in advance!
