I had a super long one across my front window and then two small ones for the bay side window.. it was a waste on $ in my case. the pulls for the blind were not up to the weight of the blind. within about three months they had worn through and broken. the company would not replace saying I had used them excessively- every day open and shut is not my idea of excessive use! There was no trouble with the individual side blinds. I assume because they didn't weigh much and their cords were more up to the usage. something to think about.

Unless you invest in a custom (probably motorized) system this great expanse of many windows will be a huge daily exercise...to open and close ...the automated ones can be adjusted to open and close the sections as needed on a timer

After determining how much exposure the window gets from the sun ....it may also be possible to add an overhang on the exterior of your home that will shield the windows at the important times...

The windows face east, so they mainly get morning sun, which I would like to control. There is already some overhang on the back of the house. I want the UV protection and I don't want to obscure the view too much. Thanks for the comments so far.

We have a very similar situation...we use sunshades...not sure what you refer to when you mention UV protection...but the sun shades do allow allow the view while they are down...your situation with so many small windows in a curved placement is more difficult,of course...

It may be possible to install shades only at the levels needed for the a.m. Hours

by UV protection I mean I don't want everything in my family room to fade out before its time. i had not thought about installing upper shades only but its a thought, since that is the only light control issue. Thanks
